Dear Friends,
I have been back from Washington DC for a few weeks now and we -
my husband and I are still on a farm of our friends here in Zimbabwe.
Danie has not decided as yet what to do with his life- would it
be starting something in the Cape - South Africa or would it be
getting into business here in Harare - the capital of Zim. Hanel
and Hano our children has gone down to the Cape to start their lives
there. Hanel wants to get into beauty therapy - she has all her
qualifications for that and Hano wants to go and do a course in
deep-sea diving. We will be joining them soon - as I have to be
in the Cape for the Transformation Africa - I will be singing on
the 15th of May at Newlands Stadium - where we had over 40,000,00
people last year. This event will be satellite linked throughout
Africa and Europe and I think England. Please pray with us on that
day - for Africa and the nations to turn from their wicked ways
and turn to God - who is the only answer to all our problems.
Friends - maybe some of you have already read the articles on our
lives here in Zim in the HUISGENOOT and YOU magazine - one of the
most popular secular magazines in South Africa. Let me just put
something straight here. MANY of the statements made in that article
was not correct and they have twisted my words or at times they
have not even quoted my words but their own.
I was shocked - as on the very day that it was supposed to go to
the press - they got hold of me - late that evening. We had an arrangement
- and I begged them not to publish anything until my husband and
I have read it through and rectify things. By the time they phoned
me and conveniently got hold of me- it was too late to rectify statements.
I asked them to remove my article - their reply was- it is too late
and the costs involved will be too high. So please - when you read
it- it is not my farm it is my husbands farm- it sounds as if I
am the only one that have gone through these ordeals - no it was
my husband as well. It shows you how careful one has to be when
it comes to the press. Anyway - hope you hear my heart and that
when you read it you will know that there were many things that
I wanted to say instead of these rather sensational stories.
Blessings to all of you and hold on to God. Rom. 8:28 I give you
a verse that I did not understand - in fact I did not even like
it. Now I look at it differently and believe it. " AND WE KNOW
THAT ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD..."The
things in themselves, may not be good, but God can make them work
together for good. Maybe in your life at the moment there are things
and situations you do not understand and your security has been
shaken - do not weep over the things that have gone wrong - God
wishes to take you into something new and better. Maybe we have
been weakened by too much dependence on things other than HIMSELF.(Jesus)
