My dearest Friends,
I greet you in the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ – our Messiah. Some of you would wonder why I am not on Face Book - I don’t know – it is as if I prefer to talk to people this way. If you all agree that I would be easier for you to get in touch with me – maybe I should start thinking in that direction.
I have just returned from “The Feast of Tabernacles” in Jerusalem – hosted by the ICEJ – The International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem. People from all over the world gathered there for this great time of celebration. You can read more about what this organization is all about - on the Internet. www.icej.org The theme this year was “The Lion of Judah” Once again after a period of 5 years absence – I was privileged to be part of the Worship team this year. It was wonderful to worship our King with other believers from different parts of the world. Some of us were under heavy attack (physically) – I had bronchitis and laryngitis –but God sustained us and we could sing every night. We knew where the onslaught came from and we knew “that greater is He that is within us- than he that is in the world.
In my spare time I managed to go to the Western Wall once again. This was my 12th time singing at the Feast but my 15th time to visit Israel. Every time I go up to the city of Jerusalem it is an awesome experience. The Scriptures say in 2 Chron. 6:32 - As the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm – when he comes and prays toward this temple, then hear from heaven, your dwelling place and do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name.
So I want you to know that I prayed for all my friends and the readers of this little newsletter.
One week after our return from Israel, my son Nicolaas (one of the twins) got married to a lovely girl called Rachelle. We love her dearly and it was a great wedding feast. So now all our children are married. We prayed for our children’s future partners - and God - answered our prayers!!!! – It is something all of us should do as believers.
We will be going up to Zimbabwe either end of Nov. or beginning Dec. It will not be easy as we will see the deterioration – after not being back for almost 3 years. We will see our land –that is lying waste and we will meet some of the people that worked for us – who have nothing to do now and is probably starving. Thank you for your prayers as we go in there to encourage those people still living there under the cruel hand of Mr. Mugabe and his ministers. The International Community is not interested in that country and it continues to go downhill - some at the top are flourishing and the rest have nowhere to go and live in absolute fear and poverty.
Thank you for the letters I continue to receive on my private e-mail and for so many of you ordering my CD’s - I really appreciate that.
Let me leave you with these words in 1 Pet. 5:7 and the Message says it like this: LIVE CAREFREE BEFORE GOD; HE IS MOST CAREFUL WITH YOU.!! Or in the NIV –“cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you!’
I greet you and I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rom 15:29
Shalom!
