Hi my wonderful Friends,

Thank you for your support and prayers during this past year. We are all busy this time of the year and do not want to read long and boring e-mails. Why are we so very busy now and try to cramp in all we can before the end of the year? I am happy to say that I have stopped all concerts or any ministering engagement after the 12th of Dec. Thus the reason that you only hear from me now.

Our daughter Hanel got engaged to a young man called Clark Applebee. She always thought that she would meet her future husband in a ministering or church environment – God has a sense of humour and they met at a social gathering place after work.
She just got out of a relationship and was rather at a low – when she met Clark. She got to know him a little and decided that he is the one she is taking to her brother’s wedding – as her partner. Before the wedding of our son Hano – as a family we got together often - and so Clark came to our home frequently. My husband and I both felt like – he fits into the family – just perfect. He is also Scottish – just like our lovely daughter-in-law Lorraine!!! And my drummer for my last concert – is also Scottish!!! What is it about this Celtic thing around us Slabberts? Ha-ha.
Anyway – Clark was not a believer and that was a rather serious concern for us all. God is SO in control – He is so faithful and gives us the desires of our hearts – when it is also His. It was not long before Clark got beautifully saved and was born again a few months after they met. He loves the Word and it is great to see them grow together in the Lord. They are going to live not far from us – after the wedding. See we have let our children just spread their wings and fly – and allowed them to go climb every mountain – ford every stream, follow every rainbow- till they find their dream. They found their dreams – first in Jesus and in His Kingdom and then all the others things were added onto them.

My last worship evening was held on a beautiful wine farm outside the town of Stellenbosch not far from Cape Town in South Africa. The evening was perfect with the most beautiful mountains as our backdrop. We had an 11 piece band and the beauty of it all was that some of the guys that played with us that night - has never worked with us before. They are all young and excellent musicians – but the greatest thing is – their hearts and attitudes. They gave their all and the people loved them and would not want to stop worshipping the Lord. Each musician ministered firstly unto the Lord and then to the people – and the people were blessed by that. We operated in the prophetic right through the evening and when we finished – the people just sat in their chairs and did not want to go home. It was what happened between them and God and not what happened on the platform or stage or even what happened to the person next to them. What a privilege for me to work with people like that - wish I had the finances to take them all over the world with me and let the people experience the presence of God in such a fresh way. Nothing is new under the sun – but our God’s mercies – are new every morning – great is His faithfulness. We only used the talents that He gave us in any case - and He did what He wanted that evening. After the concert - we were asked by the owner of this beautiful venue and vineyards - Mr. Mark Bilton – to do a similar concert early in the next year. Our theme was that God is looking for young and old who has a desire for the anointing - that the generations in the past had. The likes of David, Daniel etc…. We stirred them to hold on to the promises of God for each and every one of us.

Let me just share with you what happened to us three weeks ago. One night I had a terrible typical nightmare – I dreamed that I was busy getting dressed when an intruder came right into my room – I wanted to shout “In the Name of Jesus” - but could not. Hanel was with me and I could not understand that she did not help me shout His Name! I woke up in a cold sweat – I was so glad that it was not real and only a dream. Yet I was uneasy and not at peace at all. Fortunately I told my husband and Hanel about my dream.
A week later we went to a Bible Study and on returning that evening- I felt scared - and that is a word that is not even in my vocabulary. Yet I just wanted to stay near Danie. We went to bed and I woke up at 3.05. Again unsettled – I drank some water and told my self to stop this nonsense and go to sleep. I even quoted the scripture to myself: “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind”. I dosed off again and all of a sudden – I heard the door handle creaking –very slowly and then I saw the door open. I just registered that this is not a nightmare – this is for real!!! I saw the intruder - hunched and very quietly entering our bedroom. At that very moment I shot up in my bed and shouted: “IN JESUS’ NAME!!!! But my voice was not the voice I knew – when you just wake up your voice is sort of low and different. I shouted that 3 times and my husband heard me and also shouted! That thing - that man – it was so evil – he turned around right there and then and fled. He went passed my laptop- some cell phones etc. Nothing was stolen from our home. Maybe you do not realize that South Africa has one of the highest crime rates in the world! My husband followed him and I continued to shout the NAME of JESUS from our top balcony – down the street and into the valley below us.
The point I want to make is this: – There is no other Name on this earth unto whom we can call upon – but the Name of Jesus. It is powerful – it is beautiful - it is a strong tower where the righteous can run in to. Can I ever doubt the Power that is locked up in that Name. See how he for warned us – how he prepared me. Oh our God is so great – how great is our God!!!

And now I pray and speak this into existence over you and your family – and I know that God wants to pour out His spirit and His blessings upon you – even before the end of this year. This is His Christmas gift to you – that He gave Himself to you. He wants to be in control of your life – He wants you to love Him back as He loves you. He gave us the gift of Life- to live life abundantly and then on top of that- He gave you eternal life!!!!. So let us stop listening to the voice that says- we are a failure – listen to His promises to you - it will give you a Hope and a Future!!

Scott Wesley Brown once wrote a song: “I could wish you joy and peace to last your whole life long. I could wish you sunshine or a cheerful little song or wish you all the happiness that this life could bring - BUT I WISH YOU JESUS – MORE THAN ANYTHING – CAUSE WHEN I WISH YOU JESUS – I’VE WISHED YOU EVERYTHING! This is also my wish to you all!!!
