Hi Special People,
It was in November last year that I have written to you. Since then
my husband and I have been here in South Africa - Somerset West
in the Cape area - near Cape Town. As you know - I love this area
and can truly say that is becoming more and more like home to me.
As a matter of fact - I was born in this area - many years ago!!!!
Ha-ha. It has been a year that we have lived in Zimbabwe - without
having our own house - as you know - everything (land and possessions)
have been taken from us by the government. We tried to make a go
of it - as I said for one full year- alas nothing happened and we
believe it is time to move on. I really tried to see if there was
anything I could do up there - full time. I cannot continue to spend
time there - in a country that does not want us there and is neither
interested in building up the country again. Danie will still often
go up there - but I will spend more time here in South Africa.
It is time to prepare for our ministry trip to the States. This
time - and at that - for the first time - Danie is going with me.
I will leave before him to go to past. John Burke and his wife Liz
in Carlsbad New Mexico. On my way there I will stay one night in
Dallas to see my friend Brenda Siewert, whom I met when we were
both part of the music team at he Feast of Tabernacles - with the
International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem. After New Mexico I
will fly to Washington DC where I will be ministering at different
places - for two weeks. Evans Gilmore, Tom and Priscilla Flory will
be my wonderful hosts. How I love and appreciate them. This whole
tour will start on the 2nd of March for me and we will leave Washington
on the Monday 20th March for Atlanta - where Danie's brother and
his family lives. We will stay there for 4 days and then get back
to South Africa - Danie will go back to Zimbabwe.
Some weeks ago I received an invitation to the opening of the new
offices of Transformation Africa here in Somerset West. I was so
happy that I could for once- attend some of their meetings and prayer
meetings. I quickly got dressed - after I have worked in the garden
for a while. As I arrived people were standing all over the place.
They were busy presenting people with Certificates of Appreciation
for their part in Transformation Africa. I thoroughly enjoyed it
and delighted myself in the joy of the different people being called
forward to receive their - awards - so to speak. When all of a sudden
I heard my name being called out. I was so surprised - all I did
was sing at the different events the last couple of years. But you
know what- I learned so much again. As I was busy standing there
and enjoy watching the other people receiving something - I realized
that this is what He wants from me. To be able to delight in someone
else's happiness and to appreciate others. Phil. 2:1-18 ...but in
humility consider others better than yourselves. (v3) The Lord showed
me that - this kind of person is the happiest kind of people on
the earth.
After my tour to the States I have to be in hospital - so that they
can do what is necessary in my breasts - nothing to be alarmed about
- it is just very needed to have some things removed which is causing
some discomfort. Thank you for your prayers - I need to be strong
and fit as there are a few trips to Israel lined up. Also this year
I will be doing a CD with some African Worship or rather worship
music with an African flavor and feel to it. Because I love Hebrew
music and the Jewish style of music - we are going to try and marry
the two (African and Jewish!) I know I will have to hear very clearly
from God how He wants it done and if He wants it done.
I can truly say that I am at the stage of my life that I do not
push anything - I rest in His beautiful love and care. I do press
in once I know that it has His approval - but the time is over where
I would organize things myself. Prov. 3:6-7"In all your ways
acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. 7. Do not
be wise in your own eyes for the Lord and shun evil." It is
so easy to start making your own plans in stead of waiting for God
to make the plans. To acknowledge God in all our doings and plan
makings - takes time. Time away with Him to pray and hear His voice.
Ask Him what He thinks of your plan? Then we have to wait for His
answer. If we do this - there will be an anointing on His plan and
He will guide and direct our steps into the direction where we should
go. Now if we have placed our plans before Him, we must be prepared
that He can change our plans - any time! If we do this - our plans
- our paths - our directions will be blessed and prosperous.
Be blessed and I trust that you will begin to speak life into your
future - into your lives - finances - relationships in this coming
year 2006! Rom 4:17"... the God who gives life to the dead
and calls things that are not as though they were." Speak out
those things that you want to see happen in your life - begin to
walk in it and become the person God intended you to be. Enjoy 2006
in His presence and in His rest.
Love and peace to you all in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Hanli.
