My dear Friends wherever you are on this earth!
It is true that we all had lots of newsletters to read - letters
full of encouragement and great ideas for the New Year ahead of
us. We have made New years resolutions - which we might have broken
again by now. I just want you to know that I care about all of you
reading and I thank you for being interested in me and what we do.
I would love to encourage you - to really hear His voice this year.
Let us hear His gentle voice calling out our names. Let us allow
Him and Him alone to guide us - let us trust and obey Him like never
before. Shall we not once again begin to dream that impossible dream?
Catch the vision that He has for us. A vision to dream wildly. Let
us aim for something higher - even higher than before. Trust Him
for things we have never trusted Him for in the past. I pray that
we will all have hearts that love more deeply this year.
Why do I wish all this for you? Because in Eph.2:10 it says:"
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." When I
see the word "workmanship" it makes me understand that
He "made a work of wonder" - a "miracle" and
it is through us that He wants His image to be revealed. Yes you
have an assignment- that only you can do - I can never do what you
have been called for to do.
What do you see for 2007? Only you can answer that. He Himself dreamed
about you before you were made- He carefully thought and planned
and had great ideas about you and for you. The devil is not giving
up on you- trying to discourage you ALL the time- so why should
you and I give up on ourselves - if God has these great plans for
us? Does it not say in His Word- that he has plans for us ......plans
to prosper us in all areas of our lives. So let's go for it!!!
Over the Festive Season- we had a full house!!! Most of our children
were here - apart from Hano who was still in Scotland then - he
is with us right NOW! At times we were about 11 people together
- it was good to have had Danie's sister Ilza, her husband Dave
and the boys with us as well. It was a great time - apart from the
fact that I was not well most of the time. I hurt my knee climbing
up Table Mountain in too fast a time for MY AGE. Ha-ha. So three
days later - I ran a temperature - was hot and cold and my knee
refused to walk the way it is supposed to operate. God is good and
although I spent the day before New Year in the hospital - at Casualties
- we had a good time. I am much better after having had to walk
on crutches. I am still recuperating and believe that an operation
will NOT be necessary now or EVER. Thank you for your prayers.
Friends - I am going to pray through the night of the 21st Jan.
starting from 10 in the evening and stop at 4.00 in the morning
of the 22nd. Those who want to join us - that will be wonderful
- full of wonderful experiences and new revelations will be evident.
I am also going on a fast - but would not in any way tell you to
do likewise - as I truly believe that God must speak to you individually
as to how long have to fast and what KIND of Fast it should be.
I do believe though that it is a powerful way God has taught us
through the life of Jesus - what it means and does to our lives
if we pray and fast. It is true that our bodies need a rest and
a cleansing period and likewise our spirit man. All I want to say
here - is I find that when I fast - whenever I get those hungry
pangs - it reminds me to pray for whoever or whatever he lays upon
my heart and minds.
Great excitement for us - my NEW CD has been completed in the studios
- I loved every moment - as of coerce I love studio work. I love
the music - the people I work with - the mistakes and the corrections
and all God's goodness and mercies to be experienced. It will be
in the shops here in South Africa - March. I worked with Louis Brittz
- an excellent musician and composer. He guided me to use my voice
in a different way - it is a worship album - more I do not want
to say. And the rest of the crew (musicians) were great. For the
first time in my singing career - I was in the studio most of the
time while they did the different sections. In the past - I lived
in Zimbabwe - flew into South Africa - did my vocals - and out I
flew again back to the bushes!!!! This time I could stay with our
dear friends Nick and July Vlok who lives in beautiful home in Pretoria
- so close to the studios - it was such fun. And Louis gave us his
old delivery van to commute from the studio back and forth. Hanel
my daughter was with me in the studio once again - it was wonderful
- she loved it and did great singing with me on some of the songs.
We had such fun together. So you see even though much has changed
in our lives - not living on our land in Zim. Anymore - there are
other advantages and delightful things happening in our lives.
May you be richly blessed by getting to know God even more and in
a more intimate way - this year!!!!
