29 August 2007

Hi Friends from all over the World,

Thank you to so many of you that have sent me personal letters of encouragement and prayers for me and my family.
I have just returned from a fruitful ministering trip to Brazil. I left here on the morning of the 14th of August. What happened I do not know - but maybe I became too casual about flying schedules - I presumed that I was flying out of South Africa later the evening and so only leaving Cape Town in the afternoon at 6.00. The Lord is so protective over us... even if we act (not so wisely - I do not want to call it stupid) - I woke up at 2'o clock in the morning - and it was as if the Lord is saying to me to just double check my ticket. Low and behold- I made a great mistake - I was leaving Cape Town at 6'o clock in the morning - not evening!!!!! Fortunately - I had everything packed the previous evening - everything was ready - even things I normally leave for the next day to sort out. I woke my dear husband - went for a midnight swim - just to wake me up real good! I left on time and arrived in Brazil - Sao Paulo - in perfect time.
There at the airport of Querulous - Sao Paulo - was my dear faithful friend Celia to fetch me. Her daughter drove us to their home where I have stayed at two previous times. I had 1 hour to rest before the first meeting. I know that God sustained me and gave me the energy to mount up with wings of an eagle to do what I had to do that evening. So friendly was I received by past. Gustavo of the First Baptist Church in Sao Paulo. We immediately understood each other and I got to meet some of the people.
Fortunately Celia understood that my batteries were flat - ant took me home at 12 o'clock. Then I was given some good Brazilian food and slept like a baby. The next afternoon we ministered to ladies and Celia - who is a lawyer by profession - took off work to interpret for me. She was faithful till the last meeting. Flowing with me under the same anointing - it was wonderful to see how God used us together. I will find it different to preach now without an interpreter. It is one thing that is certain - that you and your translator must know each other's hearts - in order to really flow together. It was such fun. When God calls you to do something - he puts the words and messages in our mouths - even though we prepare well. It makes it exciting to speak His Word - that will NEVER return void!!! Hallelujah for that.
We travelled to Bella Horizonte - where we ministered to the very poor - and what an evening - so receptive and so hungry for fresh manna.

Celia and her husband Cesar - took me all the way to Bella Horizonte - the drive took us 8 hours - but we had a few stops and of course - we had to eat great Brazilian food on our way.
It was great to see old friends again - it was 6 years ago that I was there last. This was my 5th time to Brazil and now I know that I will have to learn Portuguese - stop some of my French lessons - yet I will continue with my German lessons.
I am already asked to be back in Brazil next year to teach on Biblical Principals and Our Jewish Roots.
I have learned so much about myself and how God wants to use all of us in such simple ways to set people free - by only speaking His Truth that will set us free. I have seen how powerful His Word is - it is so refreshing - so real - true.
Now back here in South Africa- I will prepare for the Taste of Tabernacles which will be held in the City Hall of Cape Town - on the 7 an 8th of Sept. Rev. Malcolm Hedding - the director of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem will be the speaker and also Jurgen Buhler. It will be preparation - before the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem - which will start on the 27th Oct ending 3rd Oct.

Then the great news is that I have received a letter from the music director of the ICEJ - inviting me to sing at the Feast in Jerusalem on the evening of the 29th and also on the morning of the 30th. I praise God for the opportunity - I just pray now that my accommodation and flights will fit in - as I have to be in the States on the 3rd of Oct. God knows where He wants us and when. It is so good to trust Him in all our decisions. Psm. 188:8

I have spoken much about Rev. 3:9 and 1 Cor. 16: 9 and the open door in our lives. When I arrived back in South Africa - there was and e-mail for me from the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem - asking me to do some solo work. It is a great honour to sing there. I was involved with them for 10 years and it was tremendous. And it is great to hear that I have been invited to just be a little part of them all again. So I'm off to Israel for the Feast of Tabernacles. Then after that I will be back home for 24 hours and then I will be on my way to the States to minister there. In November and December I will be either in South Africa or in Zimbabwe.

I have just ended a 3 day fast and it was so good to have my daughter Hanel doing the fast with me. It was not easy to have water only for 3 days. It was a great time - to realize that we have to crucify the flesh (my will) and I have seen how much attention I give to food and what I want. Any way - please have a look in your Bibles - regarding prayer and fasting. Because it is so powerful that we pray and fast together - it goes hand in hand - I believed that the enemy came in a subtle way to get our attention off the fact that we have to pray and fast - together. Some Bibles Omit the word "fasting" - they just say - prayer. The NIV says in Mark 9:29 this kind can come out only by prayer.
The King James and the NKJ says the following. Mark 9:29 so he said to them." This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting". See it for yourselves - it is not just my own ideas.

So I pray God bless and keep all of you in His safe arms of love.

Love in Christ Jesus our Messiah.
