Hallo dearest Friends,
I trust that you are well. Now that I write a lot on my web site
- I do not do a monthly newsletter anymore. I just felt like getting
in touch with you all.
My family are all well and we are blessed. We are adapting nicely
to life in South Africa - but not to all the violence and crime.
Wel l- as I said before- we live in Africa and there are sacrifices
to be made to live in this wonderful continent.
The year started rather bumpy. During the Christmas holiday a group
of us went climbing Table Mountain. Instead of getting to the top
in a normal way for a woman my age - I tried to get to the top with
the younger members of the family. Tree days later I ended up in
hospital, as my knee was badly injured. An operation might be necessary
- but I believe for a complete healing.
As some of you know- I have finished recording my latest CD at the
end of 2006. I loved every moment in the studio. We worked with
a great producer who produced my voice in a different way. Then
last week I heard that all our hard work has been destroyed. These
things do happen - just don't ask me how. Bottom line is - we have
to start all over again. We will be in the studio from the 6th Feb
-9th Feb and I thank you my friends - in anticipation for praying
for us. We must be doing something right if the enemy hates us this
much! So I know that he is not giving up on us - and neither is
our God giving up on us. I immediately had to get my mind and attitude
right. My whole family was just tremendous in the way they encouraged
me. Hano reminded me that those words I was singing will draw people
and touch hearts - and that is why the enemy tried to stop this
production. Then he said something profound. You have a choice now
Mama - when you walk into that studio - you either are going to
be despondent and upset or feel like you are wasting time. Or you
are going to say thank you - that you have a second chance to record
the music. So go out there and give it your all. Immediately I felt
in my spirit that NOW is the time to make a decision. There and
then I lifted my head and my heart and knew that I have to begin
to operate in a different spirit as the enemy wanted me to. I am
quoting Loran Cunningham: "God is utterly going to defeat Satan
and He is to do it through and in and with us if we begin to move
in the opposite sprit to the forces of darkness". We can only
do this in the power of the Holy Spirit as He shows us what the
enemy is trying to do and then do the opposite. "This revelation
set me free. What a reminder that - He is always there to help us
- as He Himself has already overcome it all!!!
We will sure let you all know after the recording session. I know
that again this will be a testimony unto the greatness of our God
who reigns supremely!!!!!
Be blessed and continue to put your trust in Him alone - He knows
what He is doing in your life. He does not make mistakes.
