Hi my Friends all over the Globe,
First of all I want to give glory to our great God for all His goodness. As a family - we are all well and have so much to be thankful for. We are blessed.
A big thank you to all of you who have sent me messages of great blessings on my birthday. It was much appreciated.
It was tremendous privilege to have spent some time in Scotland with my son Hano, his wife Lorraine and our first grandson Noah. Great to be back with my husband Danie and the rest of the family.
I always thought that grandmothers are a bit overboard – but now I have joined that clan – I think our little Noah is just gorgeous! I just got back from Scotland and it is so difficult to leave them behind and not be able to see and experience his growing up. When I arrived there he had a T-shirt on and written in big letters – I love my Ouma- (grandma in Afrikaans).I could just look at this bonny baby for hours on end. He is big and strong. One morning he was lying in bed with me while I was reading my Bible and he got so excited and tore out a page from 2nd Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness. :4Through these he has given us his very great an precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption of the world caused by evil desires.
Than morning we as a little family read that scripture and discussed it. We talked about issues of life and I remember telling my son as he had to deal with something at his work. I said: Son just do what is right. A few days later we saw Joyce Meyer on TV-talking about “do the right thing and Lorraine turned to me and said: “Mom that is what you have been telling Hano the last few days. Then Joyce went on to conclude her message by reading from 2nd Peter 1:3-4. If that is not God trying to get our attention- then I do not know what is. I love it when He is so practical and show Himself so real and so ready to speak to us.
I praise God for my son and his wife – I am so proud of the way they live their lives. It also shows in the way they keep their house. “Cleanliness is next to godliness” – is the saying not so? I know that God will use them in the lives of many other young couples in training up their children in the ways of God. It is so needed in the world today. Let us continue to pray for the families – that they will find their wisdom in God alone -to raise young ones who will have respect for others and life in itself.
And now Clark and Hanel are expecting their first baby – exciting times in the Slabbert family! She is doing real well. She looks great.
Our son Niclaas and his lovely wife Rachelle are doing well – he is still flying and hopefully enjoying it. We have put in a photo of their wedding. It was merely a misunderstanding or miscommunication - that their photo was put in so long after their wedding. I really felt bad – but these things do happen.
We here in the Cape Town area are planning a Taste of Tabernacles and we have our date set – 3rd Sept – Thursday evening at 19.00PM. We have a great team working together and we are just waiting on God – step by step as He leads us in this big assignment. Please keep us in your prayers – so God will receive Glory and people will get a clear understanding of our Biblical responsibility towards the Jewish people in our Christian walk. We are grateful that Rev. Malcolm Heading – the president of the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem (ICEJ) will be our keynote speaker. If you know of people who would love to attend this evening of song, dance and celebration – combined with excellent teaching – tell them about it.

Be blessed as you continue to bless others!
Love in Christ Jesus our Messiah.
