3 December 2004

My dear friends around the Globe.

Let me just give you an update of what is happening in my life and rather what is happening in our lives as a family.   Not all of you know all of my circumstances – but here goes in any case.   I was busy on a ministering trip in South Africa – when my husband phoned me one evening - saying that he and my son has been kicked off our farm in Zimbabwe.   Here I was stranded in South Africa - could not go back as there was no home for me to go back to - and there they were floating between his mothers little flat and some friends.   The same government officials came back to take the last of what we owned in that country.   They came earlier this year - but God protected us and they miraculously left again after surrounding us for two days.  Now this time - they took over the farming – started plowing with our implements and ordered our people working for us to start working for them now.   Please pray for Elliot and Tacksure – two black men who are so faithful to us - they have decided to stay in our house and guard the place - they have been shouted at and told that their lives will be in danger for protecting us.   For how long can they sustain it - when we phone them – they are optimistic and full of faith that we will come back.   They are the unsung heroes – not so? We have some great relationships with our black friends in Zimbabwe – who do not all agree with all the evil that is going on in Zim.   I believe and so does my family that we will be back.   We as a family has given away so much land all ready – without any compensation – now they have promised us that this last little bit of land we may keep.   What has become of this world – we have to plead for our own land.   Any way – my husband and son Danie and Hano is safe - and that is what matters.  My daughter Hanel in the States – would love to be with us- but her plane ticket is only for January.   Nicolaas is a pilot in Botswana and would love to be with us - but where are we?   God will make a way where there seams to be no way.

Thank you for your prayers - we have been through so many incidents the last few years - and each and every time - God has shown Himself strong on our behalf’s.   People are wonderful in their support – one man even made one of his vehicles available to me to use while I am in South Africa - how he will be blessed.

We are hard pressed on every side but not crushed – perplexed but not in despair – persecuted but not abandoned – struck down but not destroyed – We have His life revealed in our lives. 2 Cor.4:8   Pray with us that the Name of Jesus will be magnified and glorified through this whole incident – like so many other times in our lives here in Africa.  There is a lady who is interested in writing a book on our lives – I pray that we will be wise as to how we do it – so that again my main concern is only for His name to be honored in our lives.

I am doing a concert on the 8th Dec here in the Strand – Cape area - it will be an evening of just singing and people can ask me questions.   I believe it will be a relaxing and intimate evening enjoying what God has done in my life.   I do this evening for people and friends in Zim. That are in the same situation as what we have found ourselves to be in.

Love to all.
